Welcome to the Greenwich Bar Association website, serving the Greenwich legal community for over 75 years.
This website is designed to keep our members and the community informed of upcoming events. The Calendar of Events menu will list a schedule of our monthly meetings with the featured speakers. Applications and sign-up forms are available for download.
The mission of the Greenwich Bar Association is to provide programs to the legal profession in Greenwich in order that they may better serve the Greenwich community. The GBA holds monthly meetings (except during summer months) with programs to educate the legal community on timely and relevant topics. This past year's speakers included: Fred Camillo, Connecticut State Representative, R-151st District; the Administrative and Presiding Judges of Stamford Superior Court; public relations and marketing consultants Gina Pastore and Deborah Burns; Raymond Baghdaddy and Jennifer Kallenbach from CATIC; and Greenwich Probate Court Judge David W. Hopper. In the Fall, we held a First Selectman debate between the candidates, Peter Tesei and Lin Lavery.
We are especially excited for this year's Law Day Luncheon to be held on May 6. Richard Blumenthal, Attorney General of the State of Connecticut, will be our featured speaker. The 2010 Law Day theme is “Law in the 21st Century: Enduring Traditions, Emerging Challenges.” This promises to be an exciting event.
We are also proud to establish the Pro Bono Committee to be chaired by Richard J. Margenot. The purpose of the Pro Bono Committee is to assist the efforts of the Greenwich Probate Court to find qualified legal counsel for such positions as conservatorships, guardians ad litem, and matters involving the termination of parental rights. To join the Pro Bono Committee, please download the Pro Bono Committee form available on this website.
If you are interested in becoming a member of the Greenwich Bar Association, you can download the Membership Application form available on this website. Membership is available for attorneys that either work or live in Greenwich, Connecticut.
